The NV Series compact high voltage power supply is designed to operate an image intensifier tube. It provides all of the voltages generally required for all tubes which are set up in a grounded MCP out configuration.
The input voltage of the NV series is !2 VDC drawing less than 250mA at full gated Condition. The MCPin output is varied over a -100 to -1300 volt range by a 0 to 5 volt analog control signal referenced to input ground. The Photocathode (CP) output is gated on or off by a TTL signal and provides either -200 VDC or -800 VDC with bright spot protection. The rise and fall times of the PC, while driving a 30pF capacitance is less than 50nS (10% -90%). The rep rate may be varied from 1mS to DC. This PC voltage is regulated and rides on top of the MCPin voltage.
The anode output is adjustable between 4 and 6 KVDC via a side trimpot. It can provide an output current of up to 10µA with an output ripple of less than 1V p to p. The power supply is enabled by a TTL control signal. All outputs are short circuit protected.
The power supply is housed in a brass case, with internal PEM nuts for easy mounting. The input terminals are pins while the outputs are teflon wires designed to run directly to the tube in use. Other output and input voltages and grounding configurations are available. Each supply is burned in prior to shipment and guaranteed against defects for 1 year.
